Central, the $450 million master planned award winning urban renewal project is converting Townsville’s CBD into an energy-filled, self-sufficient and exclusive inner city community. The vision for the precinct is centred on a trendy and convenient lifestyle, transforming the inner city railyards into a thriving precinct to be delivered across 15 stages that includes residential, retail, commercial and education.
Central Village encompasses approximately 1,540sqm of retail space and approximately 2,200sqm of cinema space. The delivery of the five theatre BCC Cinema as well as the new CQUniversity campus expansion are key milestones in the roll-out of the precinct.
